My approach is simple. Documenting the current situation, the best way I can. Without obstructing the subject (or very minimally). Ideally trying to tell the best story I can with a single image/group of images, using a range of different cameras & tools.
I enjoy putting myself into certain situations too. I will still see something, get an idea & try to make the image in my head a reality. I like to shy away from shooting the standard. Ultimately, I wish to find beauty in places you wouldn’t usually find it.
Currently based on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. Mitch grew up on the South coast of NSW where he began doing freelance work in early 2010. He has been lucky enough to travel all over Australia & gain hands-on experience as a self taught photojournalist. Taking photos, filming videos, writing articles, shooting ads, large campaigns, working with major brands, covering events, weddings, music gigs, road tripping with teams/companies & helping create content for magazines & online platforms.
